Hiring SEO Consultant Enhances Online Marketing Venture

Most of the website owners are already familiar with SEO experts or SEO consultants. Familiarity about them is easy to say but only few who really know what are services they offer and who exactly they are.

SEO consultants are people who are well-acquainted with anything about search engine optimization. Most of them have plunged in to study the search engines, how they work, and how would websites rank among these search engines. Of course, no one can be called an expert unless the person has undergone years of experience of a particular niche–in this case, SEO.

Majority of the websites in the internet are actually doing search engine optimization. This is the effective way of making the website visibility among major search engines come into place. Online visibility is gained by optimizing the site for particular keyword phrases; this is what SEO consultants are aiming to provide to their clients. They analyze the site and give suggestions or recommendations on what particular SEO strategies are needed to increase the ranking of the website in major search engine listings. Even if SEO consultants have full grasp about the behavior of search engines, they do not, however, have enough knowledge about the exact blue print of search engine algorithm.

Oftentimes, SEO consultants study the client site first. This is to check if the site to be optimized is SEO-ready. They take responsibilities on redesigning the site if necessary to make it search engine–friendly. Their other tasks include optimizing the site with tactics that they think fit to have the website ranking improved.

Top 10 Optimizing Tips for Images (Part 1)

Oftentimes, SEO works with web content, articles and blog posts. However, you, as an internet marketer, should not also forget that optimizing the images in your site is also important in the success of your SEO venture.

Optimizing images for search engines is also an important task to maximize the SEO campaign. Images, especially the clickable ones, can draw web traffic and links for your site. Since people have short attention span, images are great ways to get their attention.

Here are some great ways to ethically optimize images of your site:

(a) Use Alt Attribute appropriately: The alt text is important for both search engine robots and for users. It serves as the description that would appear just in case the image can’t be seen. The description should be descriptive of what the image is all about. Avoid stuffing your image description with keywords that deviate from what the image really is. If you do that, Google will penalize you for that. Don’t forget, however, that the description should be readable in the eyes of your site visitors.

(b) Have credible/authoritative hosting site for images: Some of the reputed image hosting sites are Photobucket, Flickr, Picasa (of Google), and Wikipedia. Don’t forget to link back your images being placed in those images hosting site to your own site.

Google Search Algorithm Will Be Changed

Since SEO spammers are very clever in cracking the search engine algorithms, Google has set to change its search ranking algorithm. Spammers destroy the credibility of search engines to deliver relevant and quality results. This is what Google is trying to avoid happening. Changing its algorithm would eventually stop the spammers from doing their job.

Black hat SEO techniques are used by several internet marketers who play nasty. “Bad internet marketers” dominate the search engine results most of the time because of their spamming techniques. Their sites get higher ranking while the credible and legitimate websites are ranking in the SERP just below them. This condition is really unfair for other internet marketing who are doing their job ethically.

Even if Google updates its search ranking algorithm, the spammers still find their way to get through Google’s “iron hand.” Just recently, these spammers have become disturbingly effective once again. Lots of internet users and even occasional web surfers trust Google search engine. This is the reason why Google has to pursue the changing of search engine algorithm.

Google is accepting the fact that it is really difficult to do tasks at the same time–combating the internet spammers while giving internet users with fresh and timely search results. However, they are now exerting efforts in changing the search algorithm for a more refined, totally spammer-free search results; this would help the internet marketing venture a bias-free business field. The time when it shall happen remains a question though.

What’s in a Blog

Blogs makes the world go round as these are used almost everywhere by people who access the internet. Blogging involves a lot of complicated techniques in order to be useful for search engine optimization and can be considered as one rewarding activity. As the world embraces the advancement of computer technology, the majority then considers the idea of taking part in this seemingly trendy means of expressing ones thoughts and ideas.

There are various reasons why people start their own blog. Others may use it to promote their business or an agenda. Concerned citizens who work for the improvement of life also use this modern method in educating people about certain issues happening these days. For whatever reasons you may have for blogging like for search engine optimization or just to share some thoughts or ideas, content matters a lot.

The news is definitely a recourse for the many who wants to catch a good topic to write about depending on the niche of your blog. In taking care of the seemingly insatiable informative needs of the public, it is better that you write something that piques their interest as this will generate traffic for search engine optimization. If there’s none that you consider fitting for your blog, consider a wider scope. From the local news, try considering the national or international news.

If none of the news seems to help, consider the things that you have been up to like the movie that you just saw, a conversation with a friend or a nice song that you just have heard and many more. Always bear in mind that blogging is all about sharing opinions. If you can’t think of anything else to write about, try using the visuals. There are also people who seem interested in figures than in words.

Professional SEO Tips to Learn (Part 1)

Articles about SEO tips are the most researched stuff in the search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. This event only means that there are lots of people, most probably internet marketers, who want to learn more about SEO and its industry. Just to be of a little help to those information hungry people, let me enumerate some SEO tips.

(a) Mutual linking or link exchange is not already encouraged due to its potential to abuse the privilege on links. However, this can be beneficial if the two parties linking to each other are related. To make this strategy work, you must do link exchange only with industry related websites.

(b) Search engines love text and more information. Thus, you must satisfy them with informative text. It is not enough that your storefront, which is your website, contains the image and description about the product. You must also include information about what benefits it can give and the instruction in order to let the customers know on how to maximize its use. You may include history if necessary.

(c) Keywords are the keys for visitors to get to your site. That is why keyword research is very important. It is not enough to use only competitive keywords that keyword tools suggest; you have to think like an internet shopper. That way, you can think of what possible words or phrases are most likely keyed in the search bar of search engines.

Mutual linking with industry-related websites, making your site informative, and doing the right keyword research are important in SEO. However, you must also know how to optimize your site with on-page optimization process.

(d) Web page title is important and the content. This is the basis of ranking your site according to relevant keyword phrases. That is why making it unique is a must. You can get away with search engines because even if your site content may just be the same with others but written in your own words, search engine robots will not know. However, you will be having problems with your visitors. Visitors are humans and have brains; they certainly will know if your site is unique or a copycat.

Since search engines rank web pages and not websites, each web page must be optimized appropriately and ethically. Higher ranking web pages and total search engine optimization success is often accounted from unique web page title and web content

(e) You must also stuff your content with keywords, but do not overdo it. Overstuffing of keywords in your web page content is considered spamming. Both search engines and visitors hate it. This even would lead you to losing search engine ranking and visitors as well–not to mention the loss in sales.

Another SEO Tips to Learn (Part 3)

continued from More SEO Tips to Learn (Part 2)

Some of the SEO tips we have discussed from previous blog entries (Part 1 and Part 2) include (a) exchanging links with related websites, (b) writing informative content, (c) keyword researching, (d) writing unique web page title and content, and (e) employing keywords are not enough. There are more.

(f) You should use target market’s language in communication. Speaking in customer’s language is the best way of earning sales. You need to explain to them what products and services you offer and how these products can help them in their daily life. Using the language of your target market can bridge the regional differences between you and your client. Misunderstandings are avoided this way. Aside from that, you also help the search engines to understand your business, making your ranking better. This can be achieved by being specific in your choice of words. This is because search engines are robots; they cannot read between the lines.

In terms of what keywords to be used, it is also important to include area-specific ones. For instance, if you are offering computer rental services in Chicago, you may have “computer rental in Chicago.”

(g) Monitor your site statistics is an important task in search engine optimisation. Using tools to determine which keywords are leading more visitors to your website, which websites are delivering more traffic for your site, which web page is getting lower traffic and many other things are a great help. You may use SiteSuite or Google Analystics.

Test Your Web Design Output

Checking all the links throughout your site, checking the look of your site in different web browsers, and checking your site statistics on traffic and sales conversions are not enough. You also have to consider quick customer service survey as a web designer.

While it is beneficial for you to have site statistics for your site, surveying is far more beneficial in terms of knowing how well you are as a web designer. With website statistics, you can have the knowledge to know which of your web pages are strong and which of them are weak–the ones that are generating too low number of web visitors or not getting any.

Aside from this, you can also determine the problem of your site. For instance, you have a subscription page with five steps that are also equated to five links/web pages. If your “first step” page is getting more website traffic but not on the second and the rest of the pages, this only means that your “first step” page is good and there are problems with the rest of the page. This is the time that you would know the problems of the site pages and work on them. There are also some cases in which first to fourth step pages are getting more web traffic and only getting bouncing traffic at the final purchase confirmation web page. Again, there must probably be something wrong with that. Perhaps, some of the links are broken or that it is not working effectively.
